In 2009 a financial crisis forced dr. Floris Knouwds (owner and CEO of Online Marketing Solutions) to explore new ways of helping his own (and other people’s) small businesses to survive and thrive.
Realistically appraising his abilities, taking his interests into account, and following his passion, he started to explore the world of online marketing. Though the complexities of the online world presented him with huge challenges, he stuck to his new course. He focused not on building or designing websites, but on effective internet marketing.
It was information from Harvard University, real research done on search behaviour of people browsing the internet, and training from successful internet marketers that informed his decisions on how he was going to do internet marketing.
It led him to study and find ways to effectively market (promote) small and medium businesses on the onternet, focusing on the following:

Before any work is done for a small or medium sized business, a lot of research is done. On the one side the necessary research is done to understand the business: it’s clientele, services, products, processes and challenges.
On the other side careful research is done on the keywords that will bring this business more customers, the challenges that have to be overcome to promote this business to Google and the seearch behaviour of people looking for the products and services of the specific business.
